Getting Started in Content Creation

This week, I released a short video discussing how to make content creation 10x easier. We all know content is crucial for building a brand, growing an audience, and staying relevant, but let’s be real—it’s often easier said than done. The biggest challenge? Staying consistent without burning out.

So, to help you get started (or stay on track), I’ve broken it down into four simple steps to make your content creation process much easier.

Step 1: Plan Your Content in Advance

The key to consistency is preparation. Bulk plan 10-12 content ideas at a time so you’re never scrambling for something to post. Have a dedicated ideas page in your notes app or a content planner where you can jot down ideas as they come—because, trust me, ideas can be slippery, and if you don’t write them down, they’ll disappear before you know it!

Step 2: Bulk Film Your Content

Once you’ve locked in your ideas, it’s time to film. But here’s the trick—you don’t have to film everything in one go. Instead, try shooting five videos at a time in different locations or outfits. This keeps your content looking fresh and prevents that “batch-filmed” look, making your page more engaging and visually dynamic.

Step 3: Bulk Edit for Efficiency

Filming is one thing, but editing can be a real bottleneck. To avoid that, set aside a dedicated time to edit multiple videos at once. This streamlines your workflow, saves time, and helps you stay ahead of your posting schedule. If you’re aiming for consistency, bulk editing is a game-changer.

Step 4: Don’t Ignore the Thumbnail

Your content might be great, but if your thumbnail isn’t grabbing attention, people won’t click. Think of it like YouTube, but for Instagram/TikTok—your thumbnail (or cover image) should be clean, eye-catching, and unique. First impressions matter, so put effort into making sure your content stands out in a crowded feed.

Final Thoughts

At its core, content creation is about being organised, proactive, and time-efficient. That’s how I’ve been able to stay consistent with 100 Days of Creating Better Content—and it’s exactly how you can stay ahead, too.

If you’re serious about levelling up your content game, I’d love to have you in my community. Join me over on Skool, where we’re building a space for creators to learn, grow, and support each other. Let’s make 2025 the year we create better content, together!
